Sami's London Marathon - April 2008
La Concha says Cheers for all you support for Licensee Sami's Marathon event.
Together with the generosity of local businesses, friends, family and customers, La Concha has raised a staggering £4000 for Everyman Charity which funds research into Prostate and testicular cancer.
A Bumper toast to Jim Fletcher and his team at Showcard Print, Letchworth, who kindly donated all the banners for supporters on the day. John Brown Motors for donating Go_Karting for 8 for auction. Richard Chorley, internationally recognised golf artist for donating a painting also for auction and above all, friends, customers and staff who gave their untiring support.
Sami managed to complete the Marathon in 4 hr 58 without any major injuries, however her father Peter, Director of La Concha broke his foot at the event, falling off a gate.
