Rail Passengers Stranded at Station

Commuters had their journey home cut short when they were told their First Capital Connect train would be going no further than Letchworth GC during last Thursday night's blizzard.
The train pulled into the station at 10.30pm during the height of the blizzard leaving many passengers stranded.
The La Concha Wine Bar opened its doors to shelter passengers from the freezing conditions and handed out hot drinks while people tried to make alternative arrangements to get home.
"It was touching how everybody clubbed together to help each other. One girl was so terrified she thought she would never make it home." said bar director Sami Colvin.
